the little pudding is back in my house!
ever since jayen bought the little hamster for me, poor pudding has been staying at his place cos my mom and granny threatened to throw it away, and need be, kill it even! :9
see how heartless the 2 women in my house are :(
haiz...
i dont understand why they can think of doing this to a teeny innocent life, sigh... i've reared 3 hamsters before (2 super cute roborovski and 1 winter white i think) mom and granny seemed to be fine with them, except for the incessant nagging i have to bear.
Anyway, those hammies didn't live for long. The pair of roborovski hammies died after a fatal fight duel (how horrible!) and the winter white hammie died like after 2 weeks? i didn't even have time to develop feelings for it, and before i knew it, i was mourning over its death -_-
i stopped keeping hammies for a good 2 years cos they keep dying under my care.. and my folks were rather happy about it ('it' refers to me not keeping hamsters anymore, not them dying)
And then only recently, i managed to find out the sudden death of my winter white.
Pasted on the bulletin board at my lift lobby was a notice of the weekly fogging schedule, which i have never bothered to look at... and these words suddenly caught my eye,
"....kill common pests like mosquitoes, cockroaches, rodents and...."
wait.
RODENTS ?!!?!?!!
my hamster is a rodent lor!
:(
and i've left that poor winter white outside our door because mom didn't allow me to keep it in the house!
i'm so damn guilty now!
SO... i vowed never to let pudding suffer the same fate as the winter white.
i must remember to keep my bedroom windows shut when the fogging is carried out :(
Yes, i am keeping pudding in my room, on the shelf behind my books so my mom wont notice, hopefully.. *keeps fingers crossed*
anyway, baby and i went to get the necessities for pudding..

a ball to run in, a rocket bathroom, lemon bathing powder and bedding.
the cage is still small, but we can't help it, cos a big cage would mean it'll be more noticeable.
our pudding will be be able to understand!
The usual procedure would be getting pudding to bathe before changing clean bedding for him.
Lemon flavoured powder would mean a clean, fresh scented bath! yay!

clean bedding! haha
*ya, let me digress abit here, heh.. See those bottle caps? one is pudding's water dish, the other one's from the ice lemon tea jayen was drinking from, and there was yet another from the mineral water bottle we bought to clean the cage.
and careless me didn't throw out pudding's water dish but left it on the table....
and u should have guessed, we were halfway changing the bedding when jayen suddenly exclaimed in horror, "WHY ARE SO MANY BOTTLE CAPS?!?!!?!" and we realised the bottle of ice lemon tee he was drinking from had PUDDING'S WATER DISH CAPPED ON!!!!!
jayen nearly died on the spot
i was thankful he didn't murder me.
i know my many apologies also no use, but still... i'm so sorry baby!!
sorry sorry sorriee!!!!!
u 大人有大量, please forgive me!!
Anyway, that was past.
as i was saying, pudding's now under my care for the next 3 weeks and i'm so determined to train it to:
1) respond to its name
2) eat from my hand
3) be handled
4) sleep with me on my bed
ok, the fourth one sounds abit ridiculous, but i've always wished to have a pet (with FUR) that i can handle and caress. So for that reason, fishes and terrapins do not count.
my roborovski, even thou it has fur, refused to be handled... cos they BITE. Isnt it obvious enough... cos they bit each other to death lor :(
i still have qualms about trusting pudding not to bite my hand.. even though i've read from the net that puddings usually don't bite, but there's still a chance that it would.
But i also read that it can be trained NOT to bite the hand that feeds it... and erm, how to train is to let it BITE u for the first few times until it can trust u lor. Crazy!
i was thankful pudding isnt a rogue after all, haha!

HEHEHHEE!!! YAY it didnt bite me!!! :D:D
isnt he such a darling!

i left a seed on his 'girlfren's head' to see if he would climb up her head

he ended up biting the toy, sigh..
CUTENESS!!!

muahahahhaa....
